CSE 283 Introduction to Object Oriented Design

Barbara Nostrand, Ph.D.

Welcome to Introduction to Object Oriented Design.  As with other engineering disciplines,  design is one of the principal activities of the software engineer.  This course will introduce you to the principles and practice of software engineering.  How software can be used to solve real world problems and how the software engineer solves problems while developing software systems.  Object Oriented Design views software as collections of interacting objects which exhibit both form and function.  Object Oriented Design Techniques provide mechanisms for enforcing design consistency so that teams of developers can more effectively collaborate on projects.
